Supporting academic success from the very first years

Coup de Pouce works with young children to prevent school dropout from the earliest warning signs. The organisation runs small-group sessions at school, after class. The methodology focuses on play-based learning, strong bonds with trained facilitators, daily support, and the active involvement of parents in their child’s success. Its mission is to support children who face early language delays in preschool or struggle with reading, writing, and math in first and second grade — helping them discover the joy of learning and giving them the tools to succeed.

Highlights

1. A program run outside of school hours, involving parents, teachers, and local municipalities

2. A small-group approach that encourages children to take initiative and support one another

3. A pedagogy that transforms how children relate to learning, by building confidence in their academic abilities, giving meaning to what they learn, and nurturing the joy of using their knowledge

Our structuring projects with the association

The AlphaOmega Foundation has supported Coup de Pouce since 2012. Among the many organizational development initiatives carried out in partnership with the association, here are three key projects:

  • Digitisation of operations through the development of an application to support Coup de Pouce club leaders in setting up and monitoring their clubs
  • Design of an alternative development model for Coup de Pouce clubs, tailored to the specific needs of certain partner municipalities — including recruitment, HR management of facilitators, funding strategies, and local coordination
  • Support for the redesign of the association’s communication strategy and brand identity, both internal and external
