The AlphaOmega Foundation was born out of a question: How to accelerate the growth of the charities capable of taking our societal challenges on a large scale ?
After launching Private Equity in France in the 1970s, Maurice Tchenio decided to import Venture Philanthropy in 2010 to put his expertise in structuring and growing organisations at the service of the charity sector. For nearly 10 years, the Foundation has been bringing together financial and business leaders who share its conviction: by structuring social leaders in the same way as high-potential companies are structured, they will be able to scale and have a sustainable societal impact.
My dearest wish is to help the charitable sector structure itself to multiply its social impact.
The AlphaOmega team brings together the best experts in the charitable sector.
After a first part of their career in the private sector, AlphaOmega's team members decided to put their expertise at the service of the charitable sector: market finance, strategy consulting, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising, communication. Each team member supports the associations in the portfolio in his or her area of expertise, and forges strategic partnerships with our skill patrons on projects that require external expertise.
AlphaOmega's board of directors contribute to the success of our action by opening their network, identifying key financial and strategic partners, and helping our charities make the most relevant strategic choices to ensure their sustainability and growth.
Board of directors
The Board of Directors is composed of qualified figures with experience in associative or philanthropic commitment. They meet twice a year in the presence of a government commissioner.
