Maurice Tchenio

President and founder of Alpha Omega

Graduate of HEC and Harvard Business School, Maurice Tchenio was one of the pioneers of Private Equity in the world when he founded Apax Partners in 1972, with Alan Patricof and Sir Ronald Cohen. Maurice Tchenio is the founder of Apax Partners in France, one of the main actors in this sector, and Altamir, a listed private equity company. He is the founder of the first Fonds Commun de Placement à Risque (FCPR) created in France and of the Association Française des Investisseurs en Capital (AFIC). In 2010, he decided to use his expertise in structuring and growing organisations at the service of the charity sector and created the AlphaOmega foundation, pioneer of Venture Philanthropy. His goal: to change the scale of the most efficient educational associations in order to accelerate the relaunch of social mobility in France.
